I purchased a TotalComfort Plus Ultrasonic Humidifier on November 6th, 2021. At first, it was great. The unit was quiet, effective, and the tank had a large water capacity. I followed guidelines for cleaning and used the mineral cartridge sold by HoMedics for humidifier units. Less than two months later, the product no longer works. I have contacted HoMedics twice about the issue and have received no response at all from them. I am very disappointed in my experience. I spent more on this product in hopes I wouldn't have this type of issue, and both longevity of the product and customer service is worse than with the less costly humidifiers I've had in the past. Absolutely do not recommend.

After posting a negative review on the HoMedics website, someone from the company reached out to me and said my "review got their attention" and invited me to email or call to get assistance with my issue. I emailed with my issue again, and provided the prior case numbers from the unanswered requests for assistance. I never heard back from this third request for assistance.
I then attempted to call and was told I was outside of the return window, and they would only honor a warranty exchange. At the time of my first request for assistance, I was within the return window. I made them aware of this and it did not matter - they would not honor the return. I was told the emails I had previously received as confirmation of my case number and request for assistance had listed phone numbers I could have called for help (bypassing the email request entirely and initiating a separate customer service case). I was essentially told it was my fault for not calling and following up right away when I didn't hear back from my email request.
This company lists email as a way to address a customer service concern, but evidently telephone is the only way to do it. Due to this, I am out $90.00 for an item that lasted less than two months.
